dangerick18 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Hi so my buddy just installed a headunit (CDE-100)and the radio works, but when we put in a CD it looks like it's playing but there's no sound comin out of the speakers. Is it a wire he missed? Stock speakers, not usin a 4-channel. He has a sub amp tho. It's currently using a line out cause he had a stock system before.
may03LT Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 You said that there's no 4 channel but does the car have premium sound/ factory amp? Most of the time that happens when the head units power antenna turn on lead (blue) is used to turn on an amp (even factory amps) instead of the remote turn on lead (blue/white).
Hotdog Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 you have your wires crossed behind the deck... trust me I accidentally did this with the results you are having. It will still power the faceplate and you can listen to the radio but it will not power the CD player or any inputs you have like the Ipod input.
