IH8PunkRok Posted October 10, 2010 Report Share Posted October 10, 2010 http://www.woofersetc.com/p7334/ARC8D4--ARC-Audio-8"-150-Watt-Dual-4Ohm-Subwoofer.htm beautiful driver with very t-line friendly specs fs 25Hz sensitivity 87 db QMS 5.12 QTS .341 RMS 250 15 mm 1 way linear excursion looks like the best sub for $140 however id like some input on others like the DC lvl 2, ID 8, or others i dont know about. sundown, DD and soundsplinter are out so leave them be. what am i looking for? damn good sound, QMS<7, QTS<.4, fs around 30 hz, fair power handling between 200 and 500, good excursion >12mm one way, and less than $150. if anyone thinks they know of a driver better (according to my wants listed above) please inform me so i can research it. CJ18 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Share Posted October 10, 2010 You wont go wrong with the DC and the price damn good for what you get. I have my two running on a JL 1000.1 and they take the power like champs. In a ported box they seem to like about 1 cube including displacements per sub. I have mine tuned about 37hz and ill be damned if they dont pick up low note better than the JL w6 10s that they replaced. IH8PunkRok Posted October 10, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 10, 2010 at this point im looking at the ID 8" same specs as the ARC but about $20 cheaper i like that the DC can handle the power, but i hate its inefficiency. i dont want to have to put power to it, i want it to be able to be loud on little power and a little louder with a bit more power.
