I have 1200$ wanting a new build!

Hey im wanting to start fresh since im currently using a 15" rockford p1 and a 15" cadance with a 400 watt amp(it blew just ordered a quantinum audio 2000 watt amp)

But forget the old, I have 1200$ to start a fresh build(Box,amp,subs) Im only limited to ebay(Or an audio store that accepts paypal), I already have 6x9's and 6.5's for fronts just need subs,amp, and a proffessional box.... I have an empty 1992 grand marquis trunk waiting to be filled for SPL! lol i thank everyone that is willing to help

P.S. Im limited to a 2 gauge wiring kit setup only!I do not wish to buy another wiring kit lol

already bought the quantum 2k? so is that 1200 after buying the amp or including the amp? either way I'd say maybe do a single 15 in a 4th order.

What is it with people and 4th orders lately? lol Anyways, with that budget you are looking at probably two subs of good quality, a second battery, box supplies, and please... better wiring.

My Suggestions:

2) DC Audio Level 3 12"s

Deka 9a31/Kinetik HC1800-2400/ XS D6500-3100/ Shuriken/ etc.

Whatever brand wire you'd like, something heavier than the supposed 2gauge you already have...

On stock electrical you will never see 14.4V, with that amp rated at 2k, after efficiency and everything taken into effect you'll probably see more like 1500rms. Perfect for the level 3's. Just invest in that second battery, do the Big Three, and read up on here.

There are plenty of threads and build logs on here to get you started on your box. I would recommend a tune of around 34Hz as you said you want "that spl" but you will still be able to pick up the "lows" as well too. Not sure of the DC recommended specs right now, just check on their website and/or on here. Good Luck!

idk...i mean I have a 4th order and its pretty efficient. I'm running 2 dual 7 18s getting about 1400 watts and doing 147s sealed at the dash and untuned...I mean I know you can't put an ass load of power on them but if your not running loads of power they seem quite ideal

(i had a budget build with 4 15s cvrs kickers in sealed boxs, on like 1500 rms, with a redtop infront.) was loud to me.

this set up cost me around 1200 aswell.
