If everyone would have noticed his drawing is for a much larger enclosure and what he has input into the calculator is totally wrong, box would be 20x43x27 with a notch out of the bottom. So if we went and input just the size with no notch he has 11.33cf and with about 1cf for the notch he still has around 10cf of box space which is way too big for those 12's

EDIT2: Use something like i posted and just make a shelf for the box to sit on and set your back batteries or amps under the shelf.

didnt think about that. thats a really good idea.

what would be good dimensions for that?

Once you figure out how deep the box will be then you know how deep to make the shelf, so if the top portion is 10" deep and you need 20" then your shelf will be 43x10 or a tad less if the trunk has an angle from the top to the bottom. For the shelf you'll only need something like 1/2" mdf or plywood as it only hold a box.
