REaudioBuff
Whats the best way to wire 4 batts together to get the most out of them all? Does a bus bar do the job the best? EclipseChris
Parallel. There is no other way. How you do it buss bar vs cable is up to you. Buss cars give the ability to drill and tap for more terminals, but its exposed metal which is potentially a bad thing in the event of a car crash. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. ingramcaraudio
run a + wire from your front battery to one of your back batteries then ground a wire to the frame and run it to that same battery then run a positive from that battery to next and a negative and so on. EclipseChris
There's 2 ways to ground the batteries. One is to get a run or two from the negative terminals from the back to the neg to the front. Or you can ground them in the back to the body/frame. As far as i know its not a great idea to do both. If your going to go through all this work make sure its using the thickest best quality wire you can afford. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. ingramcaraudio
Yeah i mean i've always just grounded to the frame but you got to cut a hole so that's just up to the person. There is nothing wrong with grounding to the frame and running negative to front, electricity will always take the path of "least" resistance, via the frame or thru the cable you run thru the vehicle to the front. The more grounds the better. Just don't create a ground loop!!!! NRG
I would bus bar it as it makes for a neater easier install. if your worried about the positive side being exposed make a cover or clear varnish it a few times. hell a speakers coil is basically copper wire varnished. bus bars i would say are easier to add too
