Justwebb391 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 What is a good rms range for 1 BTL? I'm thinking of either a Sundown SAZ-2500, a Sundown SAZ-3500, or an Audioque 3500D.1 which one should I go with? Any other suggestions are appreciated.
TeamHT Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 what electrical....enclosure specs...all are pretty important factors. its been said, and it has a valid point. if you have to ask, youre not ready. stick with the 2000 watts rms advised by FI and do either the SA or an AQ220, which in my opinion is better bang for the buck Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

I think most people on here with high wattage SPL systems would say thats a given....enclosure i havent figured out yet since I am still deciding on a 12, 15, or 18. All I'm really wanting to know is the general wattage that those of you out there with BTLs are sending to it Sorry for not being specific enough....I'm pretty new to the forums. This will be in a daily driver Silverado extended cab with the back seat taken out of it. How big of an enclosure do you or anyone else out there think I could fit back there? Enclosures are really not my thing so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
TeamHT Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Funny. I drive an 03 silverado ext cab with the backseat removed and three FI BTLs with 4000 watts rms daily. Your electrical is decent and I would say do the AQ2200. It takes a lot of experience and experimentation to push a sub beyond its rms without blowing something. I built two different enclosures and burned out a BTL in the process. Be careful off large boxes with large amounts of power, lol. I learned the hard way with 3 RF T4000s Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
TeamHT Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 As for the enclosure you can get good amounts if space. Currently the box in my truck is about 10.5 cubes after displacement. Although the box currently under construction is a little over 15 cubes after displacement. I also have 3 separate chambers. Were you looking for a daily setup, lows, SPL....? Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
