g6ryder Posted October 18, 2010 Report Share Posted October 18, 2010 I have a orion hcca 12" in 2.5cu box ported tuned to 34htz I had an hifonics xx-colossus which is 3200rms at 2 ohm and my sub is dual 4 wired to 2 ohm it was loud and moving the sub but no where near the 4" excursion it should be getting. So I'm looking for an amp capable of 4000+ rms at 2 ohm. I am highly considering the autotek mm4000.1d which is 419 shipped (refurb). Does anybody have any more suggestions of amps. You haven't had any problems feeding it 3000 watts? What's your electrical like? Also, are you sure you're wired at 2 ohms? What's the electrical like and are you sure the amp is seeing sufficient current?
