89capricebass
Ok so I'm planning my next build. I've figured out my next amp which is gonna be a aq3500d. I was wondering which sub would be better for this amp. I'm looking at either 2 lvl 4's or 2 xl's. I know both are underated but wanna take the chance of ordering the wrong one and regretting it later. I know the xl's would take the power but would the lvl 4's take that much power even if it was clean power? If I can save some money by getting the lvl 4's that would be great if not it's not a big deal. Just wanted to hear some experienced input Quote Car: 2000 Ford Focus 4 door HU: Kenwood KDC-X395 Front Highs: stock Back Mids: Stock Subs: Skar VVX-12 ( 1.79 f3 tuned to 32 hz) Amp:Audiopipe APSM 1500 mini Wiring: KnuKoncepts Kolossus 4awg
Robert8252
I'd vote XLs. As long as you have the electrical the 3500 is supposed to put out over 4k rms. So double the rms rating of the lvl 4 which isn't "as big" of a monster as the XL and 5. In all tho go with the xls they are beastly They wont be going in my caprice. They are either gonna go in a chevy colorado or trailblazer. haven't decided yet because it looks like i would prolly have to wall the colorado to get the 18's. This will only be my second build and I'm not comfortable enough with my box building skills to attempt a wall yet. 89capricebass
good choice you wont be disapointed and run 2 3500s on them Wish I had the cash for that. As it is it'll be 5-6 months before I can get my new truck. I got enough saved up for most of the system but I'm gonna wait till I get my new truck to get it all.
