Team_DC-Derrick
i have 240 sq inch of port for just 2 of my lvl 5 18s, and the box is 16 cubes after displacement seems 15 sq inch per cube is a good number to go by.. and 35hz has worked the best for me, it kills the lows, and kills up to about 45 hz Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... Socky
320 sq in of port would probably sound good, try to make it 12-16 in per cube Quote Jeep Cherokee 4dr -4.75 in front, new rusty's 4.5 in rear leafs -micky thompson 35x14.50x15 -locker rear -Rusty's offroad Engine/transmission/transfer case/crossmember/gas tank skid plates -Warn front bumper with 8000lb winch -Custom rear bumper -Warrior product tube doors (summertime) -Optima redtop (starter) -26XK miles and still runs like a bat out of hell Kenwood H/U 1/0 wire, 136 amp alt 200 ah batteries 12.7 daily 2 Apsm 1500 @ 2 ohm strapped on zv3 d1 with ns softparts Mb quart 125.4 wired to 4 aura 6's 3.6 cube box tuned to 36 plays down to 23hz

Team_DC-Derrick
I dont like it... to be honest I was supposed to be shrinking the box but ive never got around to it.. I am sure it would sound ALOT better and probably get louder with the power im running to them, if i shrunk it to 5.5ish after displacement Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... dohckiller808
good to know. im shooting for 5-5.5 because of space restraints. did you try shrinking your ports? with bigger boxes i found going smaller on the port, around 10-12 per gave me better results to the ear and meter. cnate777
So as far as the 22 cubes we are all in agreement....what are we thinking about port size and tuning???????? Team_DC-Derrick
i would say between 300 and 330ish port area tuned to 35hz, but thats going by 15 sq inch of port per cube.. 300 for 20 cubes, 330 for 22 cubes Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall.......
