thepolicerhere Posted November 25, 2010 Author Report Posted November 25, 2010 http://m.youtube.com/profile?gl=CA&client=mv-google&hl=en&user=StreamlineAudioVanc Playing with another phone book. Only in the 152's so far. Hopefully will find a few more db's. Song name? Sounds nice. Will have to get back to you on the name of the song. Right off the 19 hz sub sonic. Will put up some tech 9 on Friday if weather permits. Getting close to being done.
thepolicerhere Posted November 28, 2010 Author Report Posted November 28, 2010 My numbers were still low. Had a failure on one of the subs already. The tinsel leads ripped off one of the subs. Looks like a glue failure to me. Coils have no discoloration. I need to get a divider behind the port? Deadened the roof with road kill and some mdf. Any idea's to pick up a few more db's?
Decaf Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 the "h" is just a change in soft parts, LOL @ you thinking it was custom a member of my Team (DOA) has had 9518hs for ~6months.... he sent his g motors in for recones and they came back with a 9518h sticker http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44903
thepolicerhere Posted November 28, 2010 Author Report Posted November 28, 2010 the "h" is just a change in soft parts, LOL @ you thinking it was custom What was the reason for the recone. A failure or a coil change? a member of my Team (DOA) has had 9518hs for ~6months.... he sent his g motors in for recones and they came back with a 9518h sticker
Decaf Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 What was the reason for the recone. A failure or a coil change? changed coils once he got his wall and his new amp i dont think tenbux ever destroyed a sub, he is pretty gentle with his stuff
thepolicerhere Posted November 29, 2010 Author Report Posted November 29, 2010 The leads came off in chunks. Looks like to me it was just bad epoxy or they had a dirty surface when they applied it. The other one looks fine. This is my first build since 1995. A lot of this stuff is new to me. From these long xmax subs to these class d amps. What's a good phase control to get?
