Ernesto Posted August 14, 2007 Report Share Posted August 14, 2007 My friend just bought a new charger last night and isn't sure what to do...At first he didn't want to put such a big system in it (has two 15" L5s from his durango, almost brand new) but I told him hell yea put the 15"s in there and so did alot of my friends... So right now he's leaning more towards putting in the 15"s but doesnt want it to be built to be loud, doesn't even care if we go sealed... Right now im thinking... Two 15" L5s firing into the cabin, sealing off the box around from the outside so no sound waves can travel back into the trunk Two 4" Aeroports ( i know, barely any port) Wrapped in black suede Template for the subs wrapped in black vinyl.. Ima get him to sell the pa a3000db amp and see if he gets a RF T2000.1 since it would match the subs and score better in shows than a Power Acoustik. Suggestions.... Ernesto Posted August 14, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 14, 2007 (edited) Oh yeah...I also told him if he wants to do it real big to sell everything and get the RF T2000.1 and the new RE XXX either a 12" or 15" but he's unsure since he already has the L5s, they're pretty much new, and the new XXX do cost alot sooo yeah...Something to consider though. t-rob Posted August 14, 2007 Report Share Posted August 14, 2007 idk about his car but i have a 02 ford taurus with 2 12" l5's and in my car i have a box with slot ports for each chamber with sub and port firing towards trunk which seems to be the loudest box is tuned around 38hz but in the process of changing it to 33hz thought i would throw that out there.. dwright27 Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 (edited) power acoustiks dont score good? we got a bronco that had 2 AB VFL Extreme 15's in it that metered a 148.2 without any kind of tuning. off of 2 PA A3000DBs. trhat was on the new term lab legal position, and those new chargers engines are sweet, they have this thing when cruising it like cancels the shooting of the fuel into 2 cyinders sdo you get the gas mileage of a V6 but with the power of a V8 when you need it. or at least thats what a salesmen at a dealership told me. What I meant about the Power acoustiks not scoring good was show wise...Take a PA amp and take a RF amp to a show (for looks)...People know RF is expensive shit. As for the monitors...We're not going too crazy with the TVs...A double din is in the future and maybe some headrest tvs...thats about it.
