KMS Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I can tell you on my kenwood x794 I am not to happy with it, when I had the speakers just running off the hu, the hu would lower the volume after 10 minutes of play if I had the volume at 26 or 27 and it was over 90 degrees outside, kenwood said it was due to the board getting hot or some bullshit, also had issues with the face going off and then coming back out for a few days and then the issue just went away, Have no idea what the hell was going on. I am ready to pull it out for a double din soon.... I can certainly agree with this 110% Excatly the same problems with my X693 and the face just randomly revived it's self the other day. However I do like this headunit more then the 8200bt I returned when the x693 came back alive. The 8200 gave a loud static and hiss noice when installed. Put the Kenwood back in and the static went away so I am sure it was the 8200 that was giving the static. My next purchase will be an Eclipse.
