Some for sale say power/ground and other just say Power. I'm on a budget so I was wondering if most power wires could be used as grounds too or etc you know Sorry about the noob question, but I'd rather be safe then sorry. Guest Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 theres no such thing as power wire or ground wire or speaker wire. Power and Speaker are just names to say that a piece of wire is between a specific size (generally 8 to 1/0 gauge for power and 22 to 10 for speaker)
RMac18 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Yes it's all the same. Most kits will include 2 different color wires usually with black labeled as ground. Sometimes you'll still see it labeled as ground even when not in a kit, but it's still really just the same wire.

I mean it's not the wire protection color I'm worried about, it's the metal inside that I was like eeeeh..... because I know some metal have less resistance then others and I didnt want to use the wrong kind of metal.
