  1. Guys need help real quick. What are the major reasons an amp’s ground wire would get hot? Asking for a friend ;)

    1. AlpineNut

      AlpineNut

It is not big enough for the amp or the metal being used to make the ground connection on the car was not cleaned up for a pure metal to metal contact

3 to 1, 4 to 1, the choice is really yours on how much power you want to send to each.

I would consider that fucked up wiring.

    3. Skullz

      Skullz

Your math is a tad off.

You'll wire to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm per sub and then to either 2 ohm or .5 ohm.

Wiring one sub in series while wiring the other sub in parallel is bad juju.

its going into a jeep that is used alot of camping and four wheeling, so the person im building for want to be able to have storage location next to the box and wants to be able to put stuff ontop of the box, probably when they go fishing and what not cause they want the box to be fully hidden n what not, hes one of those preppers / conspiracy theorist that wants alittle bass with his country music lol.

2 of them will take a BC5500 no problem. I'm fairly certain they can take 5K daily but I don't stockpile recones so 3K each it is!
