well as im working on car i figured i would also redo my big mistake from last year when i had no idea what i was doing, i moved my battery from engine bay to the trunk and used "0ga" wire, well i kind of knew it was cheap but i never seen REAL 0AWG wire before so i didnt know, well i found the source to all my voltage drop and electric problems, my old ground wire from battery to rear strut mount( let me know if there is a better place to ground battery ) and it was reading like 8-10 ohms O_O thanks to pharmacist i got some )awg wire for my ground getting all new wire soon but here is a nice comparison shot of the wire thats running from front of car to the back >.< man im stupid

the smaller wire is some Rockford fosgate 4AWG

IMG_20110122_103835.jpg

wires are 0AWG welding wire and 4AWG rockford for the amps

the lonely battery

IMG_20110122_104501.jpg

yeah i plan on gtting rid of the caps, i know they dont serve a big porpose but when i added them i noticed a diff, only spent 20 dollars each on them so im not at a huge loss , going to keep them for the time being

ok well i got all the sound deadner in the car and i have the box back in and what a difference that makes with the bass, plus adding a divider in the center port for both chambers made a HUGE difference, i didnt take all the pictures but here are some im very happy with the way the bass sounds, still waiting to finish door pods for the 2x 6.5 components on each door and waiting for the 8" reference midbass drivers for the rear as well, i got the trunk sealed from cabin and that seemed to have helped as well

also replaced all my shitty 4gauge equivilent CCA 0ga wire with all 0AWG welding wire and with subwoofers at full tilt voltage doesnt drop down past 13.5+ only running a 65AMP stock alt so im pretty happy with that

.... cant get the pictures to upload into phoobucket says network error so i will try again later

here are some pictures of what i have done so far

IMG_20110128_182439.jpg

trunk lid, it looks like its peeling but its the angle

IMG_20110128_182401.jpg

Box inside the car, panels are in and seats and seat belts are in still need to put the cover on the top and the boxes in for the midbass drivers

IMG_20110128_182446.jpg

back of the trunk, turned out pretty good the fiberglass is hard as rock and does a good job sealing the trunk up

IMG_20110128_182517.jpg

the lid that coveres the convertable top when top is down and holds the bubble top

IMG_20110128_182523.jpg

got some more done today, got my mid bass drivers in the mail today boxes cut ready to be assembled ( didn't have any glue ) and got 2 coats of bondo on the pods and somewhat sanded

im very pleased with the speakers since i paid 35 a piece for them, the rubber surround is very soft and does not have a very strong suspension but i did a couple free air test and no problems should sound good once in the box, box will be .27 cu/ft before displacement of speaker

the pods aren't SUPER thick but very strong don't move a bit but once they get cut open i will be soaking in some more resin where the cloth didn't soak all the way through and then one more coat of glass to finish her off.

more updates as they come, hopefully not to much longer till shes done

got some more done today was going to do more but those in Michigan can understand why

IMG_20110205_113450.jpg

Almost ready for paint, using black truck bed liner

IMG_20110205_152756.jpg

got them cut open to find the resin didnt soak all the way trough the fleece so we will put some more in to add even more strength to the rock solid pod
