I had to do an install on my friends taurus and yes .... that headunit adapter shit pissed me off and then running the wire all the way to the back of the car. Good luck with the future work you do. Whats the wire in the ports for? Also decided to go with 8 inch subs for my doors and some tweets for my a pillar, all of which should be here beginning of the week ! That way i have all this week of holiday vacation to make my own mdf baffles to install my 8's in my doors !! Wish me luck !
