second box ive ever built. basically second setup ever.

subs were bottoming out.

gonna add 2 more l7s and another 3500. do a bit less cubes per subs and less port area port cube and put more power on each one.

*edit - on dash, db didnt change with window open/door open.

tuned to 30 peaked at 38 next box is gonna be tuned to 26-28

How did you have the windows and doors set when you metered, and where was the mic at? Also were they bottoming out OR unloading???

Well what did they sound like when you say bottoming out? Unloading means the sub is basically playing is free air and no longer has any resistance holding it back, it is no longer pressuring.

Oh and 148.6 on the dash at 38 hz is money!!!! That is some pressure....

well there was a nice clunk and i turned the volume down really fast. i wanna do less cubes per box, smaller port so i can put more power to it.

i went from a 147@ 38 with 4 15" AQs walled to a 149.7 on music with 2 15" dc's in a 7 cube box under the window line.... IMO i would rethink your box first... why add more subs when you could possibly yield a way higher output with what you have.

You had 4 aq 15's walled and only did a 147??? Holy crap, I do a 153 at like 35 hz with mine, and 157 at 47 hz and 160 at 57 hz....LOL
