Berto
Hey guys I just got done installing my HU a while ago and I had a bit of a problem. My cars ACC wire (red wire) on the harness is shot. So as of right now the ACC wire on the HU is wire to the 12 volt constant, but I don't want my batt to die or anything so what I want to know is what else can I connect the ACC wire too so it wont have constant power. And I think this is the right section. I was either gonna put it here or on the HU section. zachfowler222
just wire it right to the fuse box, or wire it to a cig lighter just cut the wires connect the radio then connect both the radio and the cig lighter wire back to the other cig lighter wire and it will work...........whenever your car turns on it will turn the head unit on Quote I SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY... Socky
Your head unit is suppose to have consistent power, so it can save the settings. dugee81
Around my steering column? You could try that. I'm sorry I misread and thought you were talking about the remote line. Do you not have a remote wire? Berto
It's a 1985 Olds Delta 88. And another FAIL is that my cig lighter doesn't work either. And yeah, one of the 12 volt wires is supposed to be constant but the other isn't. The other one is like a rem wire that just turns the HU on when the key is turned. Socky
You can always wire it to a toggle switch.
