fecupe2001 Posted November 9, 2010 Report Share Posted November 9, 2010 Well, what subs are you using?? my 1510´s had a big ass xmax, the bigger the port the louder they got everytime, my daily port had 14SQ per cubic feet and the comps port had 18SQ per cubic feet if i remember correctly. dj00140 Posted November 9, 2010 Report Share Posted November 9, 2010 My next box will be sub up port side, with a straight port, L-ports are def FTL!!!! And I will have a 13.5 by like 6" port I will slide 4 pieces of mdf in there and bolt them to one side and be able to remove any amount of them that I want So My box will have verying port area, as the port area gets bigger the MDF pieces get shorter for higher tuning so I can pinpoint my peak SPL, they also decrease in length so it does create the L-port effect, heres a little draw up! Now in the pic the shortest wall will actually be 2/3 the size of the largest So I canput 4 bolts through the corners and it will be strong enough....
