then i would not use 2 15's. no way in hell is a 3" port enough for a 6 cubic foot box. i built a pair of boxes 2 cubes net with 2 4" ports each

just talked with the box designer he said he could get the port to exceed 5 inches wide at least

you say 3 inch port...do you mean diameter as in round? or just 3" wide, and xx.xx inches tall? if round, a 5" round port will still not be enough port area. but if it's 5" wide, and say 15" tall, then you are in better shape

yea 5" wide 17" long

5" wide and 17" *tall*? length refers to the lenth of the port in the box, to acquire tuning. if the surface area is 5x17 then that would be sufficient port area
