If they used an xpress kit it will not turn on untill the module see's 32 degrees

Ohh ok. Yea my viper read at 41 when I programmed it. So I hope that I didn't screw it up when I programmed it. But ill call the shop to confirm they used an xpress kit and see for sure. I didn't know the xpress kits had a temp gauge inside themselves. I thought it was just in my vipers brain. But ill find out for sure. Thanks again bro!!

Yes the module senses the temp on its own. It makes it so it can be used with cheap alarms to the expensive ones. I would have used an XK-01 Module on your vehicle it does rear defrost automatically and only need to hook up my D2D plug, ignition wire and data. Then a quick turn of the ignion and done. I really like xpress kit but would like to get into idatalink i''ve heard a lot of good things about them. I install Astro Starts personally

From what my receipt says it reads of the model being ads-alca 64 and the make as an idatalink. But they charged me an additional fee of $40 for the hookup.

I'm not entirely sure on those idatalink's so not sure if it also does internal temp or is based off the main brains temp.

from what i read on their install manual for the idatalink its either off the onboard thermostat on the idatalink that will turn it on when its colder than 32 degrees Fahrenheit, or you can put a switch on it and when you start it up remotely it will turn it on regardless of the temp.
