Sometimes the advice on this site by people are really horrifying...

OP, do the AQ2200. You will be more than pleased and it will perform better than any Hifonics brand.

ive run the AQ2200 many times. VERY dependable performer, and capable yes of more than 2200 watts all depending on your electrical setup. im really not too sure how this is even a touch choice. youre paying way too much attention to the number you see on the outside of the amp, EVEN though youre realistically not going to be looking at that. not to mention the amount of current needed to even get close to its actual potential, and its not like youre going to hear a couple hundred watts difference.

ive used the hifonics 2600, decent amp no doubts there. can get way worse for a cheap choice. but that was before hearing about AQ. there is no more comparison.

Than the Hifonics? I hear all the time it is. Is choose AQ over Hifonics for the clipping indicator and gain (not bass) knob

You don't need dual alternators for an AQ2200. Do the big three and add a battery in the back. If you can afford, upgrade your starting battery.
