Gatorcity
Hello everyone, I plan on purchasing an audioque 1200D for my dc lvl 3 15" sub and running it at 2 ohms. My question is, should the inline fuse from the battery be equal to the size of fuses that are on the amp? The audioque has 3 40 amp fuses, so should I purchase a 120 amp fuse? Or go with something a little larger, like a 150? I know I won't be getting all 1200 watts from the amp since it will be ran at 2 ohms. Just need some reassurance before buying my wire, fuse, and batt terminals. Thanks in advance! chapo123
yup, jsut match the fuses on your amp, so 120 amp fuse Quote Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. Sure you may be fine and nothing happens but that one time something does happen you're fucked. i dont want woofer broke like bass sound clip clip and voice coil overheat 2 sa12s, saz1500 build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/91183-chapo123s-sundown-build-log/page__gopid__1250604entry1250604

Autruche
i wouldnt use an inline fuse. i would go with a anl fuse. they are better and wont blow as much  In-line just refers to the fuse location, not the fuse type. Meaning the fuse is part of the wire. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? kingsuv
i wouldnt use an inline fuse. i would go with a anl fuse. they are better and wont blow as much WUT??? Your statement makes no sense. It does not matter what type of fuse it is. It could be ANL, Maxi, AGU or whatever. If it is rated for amperage then it will do the job. If you are blowing fuses then you are doing it WRONG. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Gatorcity
Yeah, the fuse is going to be ANL, I am purchasing all my wiring and accessories from knukonceptz. I see a lot of recommendations on here for there products and figured I would give them a try. dugee81
the fuse protects the wire, the fuses on the amp protect the amp. if you are running 4 awg, i would suggest 100 amp. 1/0, 300 amp Quote 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm
