Jeremy1998
I was wondering if these would be good for mid-bass or not? Thet are technically subwoofers, but the frequency response seems midbass. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8898_Rockford+Fosgate+Punch+P2D28.htmlAND / OR http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9156_Rockford+Fosgate+Punch+P3SD210+Shallow-mount.html
bassmekanik22
I have not long ago finished doing an install with the P2 8" woofers in the front doors. We are feeding them 800rms for the pair in the doors of a mitsubishi mirage with the doors well and truly sealed off with 2 layers of dynamat inside and out. They have proven to produce copious ammounts of midbass with ease, they even did a stint with bass running to them all the way down to 30hz. We now have them set to play 40-200hz with a 3db boost at 45hz they take the power well and help the front stage keep up to the 2 15" woofers and 2000rms in the rear. Systems: Fun Car: Deck: Alpine CDA-9887 Front sounds: Alpine SPR-175A x2 Front power: RF T400.2 Benched at 265x2 rms @ 2ohm Subs: RF T1 10 dual 4 Ohm x1 Sub power: RF R500.1 Box yet to be built. All in a Mazda 323 Hatch in the cargo area only. Daily hack: Deck: Alpine CDA-9886 Front sounds: RF T152 5.25" coax x2 Front power: RF Power T400.2 Subs: Alpine SWR-1021d x4 Sub power: RF Power T20001 4.59cuft net 56" of port tuned to 32hz. Work ute Deck: Alpine iDA-X303 Speakers front: Stock Speakers rear: None Subs: Alpine type S SWS-1040 Amp: Alpine MRV-T320 x1 for woofer. Box 1.42 cuft 39hz hidden under tray in blow thru design. New ute to be much different.

What about the P3 shallows? Nevermind... I don't need 10 inch, 300 / 600 watt mid-bass subs... The P2 8's will be plenty.
Baydestrian
lol the P2 8's are what Steve's running in his Tahoe, so I would assume they are 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical

bassmekanik22
Oh yes they are a great mid bass. Steve's Tahoe was the reason we picked the RF 8's for the duties. In our case they are teamed up with Punch 6.5" components for the rest of the audio range. Tops sounding front stage, even with minimal power running the mids and highs (60wrms). Will soon have about 200rms for each side. Then we will get to bussiness with making more noise. I will have to post pics in the appropriate section at some stage.
