i need an amp that will do 1200 rms at .5ohm or if someone can tell me how to mod an amp to do .5 that would be just as good

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

Sundown SAZ-1500D. It'll do 2k, but it'll do it well if you have the electrical and knowledge. I don't recommend wiring the impedance that low though

Ya i can tell you how to mod an amp to "do .5", wire dual 1 ohm coils in parallel.

There. Do i recommend it? No. Because to be completely honest without trying to sound like a dick, you're probably running a a stock battery with a 100 amp alt. Which will NOT support a .5 ohm load. Especially on anything over a 500 watt rms amp@ 1ohm.

ur not being a dick thats how it is im trying to plan a small cheap build 4 hifonics 12s and im looking for a cheap amp that can do 1200 rms at .5 becouse those subs are dual 4 ohm so wiring them in paralell its .5 just wondering if theres a way to mod a cheap amp that will only due 2 ohms without blowing fuses. later on the car will get a 180amp alt and a yellow top or something better not sure atm

just get 2 amps. or even better yet, find an amp that does the power you want at 2 ohms.

thats the other thing i was thinking is there any differnce in funtion of a sub when there wired to make a 2 ohm cause it would be wired down from 4 8ohms - 2 4ohms 1 2home vs the first way?
