MACnonsence6
i need an amp that will do 1200 rms at .5ohm or if someone can tell me how to mod an amp to do .5 that would be just as good Quote I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
hdorre
Sundown SAZ-1500D. It'll do 2k, but it'll do it well if you have the electrical and knowledge. I don't recommend wiring the impedance that low though http://www.db-r.com/sell/store2/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_67_68&products_id=190 Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

Guest
...why do you want an amp that you can wire down to .5 ohm?
ingramcaraudio
You can run that amp daily like that but i don't think it would be smart and you will need very good electrical. Why would you do that btw? Quote Facebookhttp://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Farmville-VA/Rockwell-Audio/103036213076623?ref=ts
C-Fizzy
i need an amp that will do 1200 rms at .5ohm or if someone can tell me how to mod an amp to do .5 that would be just as good Ya i can tell you how to mod an amp to "do .5", wire dual 1 ohm coils in parallel. There. Do i recommend it? No. Because to be completely honest without trying to sound like a dick, you're probably running a a stock battery with a 100 amp alt. Which will NOT support a .5 ohm load. Especially on anything over a 500 watt rms amp@ 1ohm. MACnonsence6
ur not being a dick thats how it is im trying to plan a small cheap build 4 hifonics 12s and im looking for a cheap amp that can do 1200 rms at .5 becouse those subs are dual 4 ohm so wiring them in paralell its .5 just wondering if theres a way to mod a cheap amp that will only due 2 ohms without blowing fuses. later on the car will get a 180amp alt and a yellow top or something better not sure atm Quote I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today.
