the website says that two can be linked together by daisy chain stable down to 2 ohm each amp would see 1 ohm

but is that the same as strapping them? or is one master/slave?

also anyone have opinions on two of these running (4) L7 15s??

Mine has a master/slave switch. That would be a perfect match for those subs.

If u link them that is master/ slave and u need 2 ohm input that would be strapped setup and 4 L7s would be fine but why not just get the 3500? And only have one amp?

i was hopin you would chime in cause i knew you have experience with these amps

so would each amp need to see two ohm? then one be the master and slave? but if each amp was at 2 ohm wouldnt it not be puttin out max witch would be at one ohm?

i thought about that and it would make it easier but i was thinkin i would get a lil more power with the 2 2200Ds

i know that 3500 is beast though and its a sexy amp lol

would it be less weight on mY electrical with the one 3500D or the 2 2200Ds?

I wouldnt run more than a 1000 watts to an L7. In my own opinion/experience they dont handle much more than rated.

im leanin more towards the AQ3500D for all 4 at 1 ohm

if you strap the amps tyou need a final ohm load of 2 ohms. this will then be like each amp is @ 1ohm getting max out of each amp and well lets do the math for the current draw of each

Aq2200: 2200/14.4= 152.778amps x 2= 305.556amps for the strapped amps

Aq3500.1: 4300/14.4= 298.6111 amp of current draw

The Aq3500.1 will draw 6.9444 amps less then the strapped AQ2200's which you wont notice im sure

I would do the 3500 on all four. If you keep voltage up on that amp it makes lots of power, well over 4k no problem. And if you did the strapped option, you would set one amp to master and one to slave, there is a diagram that they send with the amp that shows what to do, pretty easy to follow. And you would need a final ohm of 2 ohms to be stable. That means that since they are in a master/slave linked config, each amp will "see" half the final ohm. So at 2 ohm each amp will "see" 1 ohm, making max power, to some degree, but due to imp rise, you will not likely see max power until you get a little under 1 ohm, I have personally seen the 3500's do well over max power when the amp "saw" .7 ohm but was wired at .25 ohm.

yea each option is around the same price

i have 4 D2 so its either two amps at 2 ohm or one big one for all 4 at 1 ohm

i like the idea of one amp it will make it alottt easier and i should have my hands on a scope pretty soon so i will be able to set my gains correctly

i have some decent electrical

300 amp iraggi alt big three in all 1/0 two XS power D3400 up front and two D3100 in the back and soon a VCM

right now im runnin 4 crunch gpv 2000.1 and a kicker 700.5 for mids and highs

when im parked and reved up to about 1500-2000 RPM at full tilt i stay around 13.2-13.5 then goes right back to 14 after i turn it down(without a vcm)

i really want one amp for all four but i feel like they could take some more power

maybe a sundown 4500?? i dk i just want to get rid of those crunch amps

oh and as of right now im hittin 148.3 legal on the dash and 149.2 in the kick

also i want to upgrade to maybe some DC lvl 5 18(s) eentually so im thinking with room to uprade also
