its been a while since ive had any sort of system and im trying to get into car audio again. last system i had a hifonics XX colossus but i see on the hifonics website that there is no more XX/XXV line of amps.

im looking to spend no more than $300 on a monoblock and i was eyeing the hifonics HFi2500d. its rated at 2500 rms x 1 @ 1 ohm. does anyone have experience with their new line of amps? what about the new Brutus series? the brutus series seem to be more expensive.

i still have a HO irragi alt for my electrical and the big 3 so im not worried about electrical.

this will most likely be powering 2 or 3 ported type R 12's of maybe even 4 sealed kicker CVRs. id much rather go ported.

what monoblock would you suggest for my price range? i honestly dont want to spend more than $300-350.

All BS aside, If I see one more comment in here that is NOT about the pre-sale, I will start the vacations. And that includes the trolls feeding the trolls.

recommend an amp for my budget?

AQ2200, they are 389 shipped brand new, however you can find em used for like 280-300 pretty easily.

Look into the BXi line. They are the 2010 models. (previous to the BRZ line.) They do rated at 14.4V. That was their best line of mono-blocks in a while. I owned the BXi1210d, 1610d, and the 2010d. I was more than happy with all three. The new Brz line is quite a bit higher in price since it just came out. Honestly, the BXi line is worth every penny for what you are looking for.

And the HFi line is max. The only amp I would touch from there is my HFi 100.4 for my mids and highs.

BNIB: $270.00 Shipped.

I´m with you on this one hommie, bxi´s are very nice, my amps are pounding hard my DD 3518´s , i do hairtricks and demos all day long without even going into protection, they are CHEAP as hell and take tons of abuse, i honestly think an AQ2200.1 would be more powerful but yes they are more expensive!!!

HFI line?? that´s one piece of crap, i had a hfi2500D and it sucked ass!!!
