help!, big 3 problems

so thursday i decided to do the big 3 upgrade on my 09 silverado.

i was driving to work today and decided to blast the music a little to see how stable my battery stayed but it seemed to go down like 1/8th of the way like it normally does.

i did the big 3 right,

-possitive to back of alt.

-ground from neg.

-then ground to engine

however where the two ground meet i forgot to sand off the paint but would it really be that big of a deal?

is the big 3 just to help during idle?

since a mod will move this in the am...i will answer you question.....Go ahead and try to sand the surface down...it does make a huge difference...the paint act as as an insulator...also try to find a large bolt to attach the grounds too, they tend to provide a better ground

Just saw this... You should see a HUGE increase with voltage if you get an MLA or VCM, What the newer models like ours have is a computer controlled voltage regulator through the ECM.. Once you get one of the above modules your voltage WILL stay steady with what youre running.
