Cablguy's 1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab

Recommended Posts

nice blues subs. i have a pair of 12 inch ones around 15 years old. any idea of where to get recones for them. mine still work fine but the surrounds are starting to fall apart and the spiders are very loose.

Thank you Sir ... I had 12s back in the day too ...

Not sure on the recones ... 12s are not in production from Blues ... Try Ray at LinearPower.com ... he might can help you ...

I love the build. Great work. I have an off the wall question. What tonneau covuer do you have?

Thank you Sir ... I think its an old Traders cover ... not sure ...

I have a fiberglass bed cover for sale ... it fits a Chevy / Gmc SWB fleetside truck ...

pm me for details if you are interested ...

Nice set up you got there. Clean

I would have to say that is a clean blow through, I've seen a lot and they're very ragged, but this looks like it was supposed to be made like that.

Thank you Guys !!!

Yea, working on getting all Clear lenses for my truck so I can have LED signal / Brake lights added to it ...

We still got the Hub Glow kit that needs to be installed ...

MOBS(Mike from GMT400.com) will be there in Southhaven to be installing LEDs if anyone is interested ...

I finally got to hear this truck and I am sooo glad I did. I am WAY more interested in SQ than SPL. (i still love bass though). I love a good front stage, and i don't have a great one. This truck is a musical machine. It sounds like you are there, live. The instrument positions were very specific, voices were clearly identifiable, and the low end blended seamlessly with everything else. Nothing was over powering, no speaker stood out and as far as I could tell there was no coloration added by the speakers. I also learned a good bit about imagine and staging from this guy. Although I am going to "cheat" and use my processor, I now know more about how to set things to get my car sounding better.

It was nice to meet you man, thanks again for all the info and the demo! Standup guy right here!

The SQ on this truck will make your head asplode.

I don't have the words to get close to explain how RIGHT this truck sounds. Every nuance, every note, the spatial quality it produces, all components in synergy- whatever the volume. Forget about it.

Randal- you realize now after your put afew ideas in my head, that I am going to do some serious change in plans on my mids and highs!! I'm not going to even get close to your truck any time soon (likely ever)- but I am going to do some of your suggestions. Me thinks you have forgotten more about SQ than I will ever know.
