get ready for shitty, and rough ride!!! and to go threw balljoints and tie rod ends left and right.

Not completely true if you do it correctly.

Yes, if you do it like all the kids do and crank the bolt all the way in with the new keys it will ride like a donkey.

BUT

If you just allow the key to raise the front and don't crank on the bolt just because there is thread left it wont.

You reach a point where you gain nothing and your ride goes to shit.

My ride is damn close to stock.

Best thing I did after I added keys was to put on some Bilstein 5100's. :good:

usually it rides like shit, putting keys on is basically like cranking them with the stock keys.

  • 2 weeks later...

good luck getting the old keys off the bars I tried every thing in the fall to get mine off then after beating on them for a few days I just cranked the stock ones up and got it semi level Ill work on it when its nice in the spring and maybe all the pb blaster I soaked them in will have worked

haha that is the sittiest part of the leveling kit. I got the full kit from rough country that includes 4 new shocks, the torsion keys, and bigger blocks for the rear under the leafsprings. To get the torsion keys out you need to have someone pull the torsion bar forward as you beat the key rearward with a hammer and its a pain in the ass. Also all 4 of my stock shocks were completely shot no rebound what so ever. Honestly i feel like my truck rides much better than it did before, or maybe its in my head haha.
