I could use alittle help with the powering for my car's new system. I own a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lardeo, and it comes stock with a 160 amp alternator and 760 amp battery. I made these current changes to the system; replaced all of the 6 stock speakers with Kicker KS line, replaced current amp with JL G6600 6-channel (75 watts RMS x 6 at 4 ohms at 14.4 volts), added 2 15" Kicker L5, added Kicker Kx1200.1 mono-channel for subs (1200 watts RMS x 1 at 1 ohm), added 4 selenium ST200 (75 watt RMS at 8 ohm) speakers on the outside and finally added Sony Xplod 2-channel amp for the seleniums (125 watt x 2 at 4 ohms). the car use to be in Florida but now is experiencing the cold of Indiana. my alternator has began to lightly squeak and it can barley be heard through the cars speakers. my question to anyone is what should i be adding to help out the power to my system (extra batteries, bigger battery, bigger alternator) or would i be alright to run the system without any additions? im hoping that this is not overloading my alternator and that it will not die not soon

yes you should.. never such a thing as to much power.. the more power you have the smoother things operates.. first i change out the battery under the hood.. find the biggest battery you can find and fit.. xs power is having a great sale on their battery's(best in the business) and do an big 3 upgrade and see what that gets you. and get a voltage meter so you are able to see what kinda power fluctuation you system is experiencing .

he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

how would i go about finding a battery that fits? i have searched my car on websites such as autozone but they only give me one option to replace it.

check the measurements of the spot were it goes depth width height and find on that fits. is ur truck a v8 or v6

Rebuild in progress

what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2.

well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette?

i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender.........
