billy101
Hey everyone.... Stuck between a few headunits; don't know which one I should get. Kenwood Excelon KDC-X794. http://www.crutchfield.com/s_113KDCX794/Kenwood-Excelon-KDC-X794.html?search=kenwood+excelon Kenwood KDC-BT945U http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_31020_Kenwood-KDC-BT945U-w-Aux-Input-Cable-iPod-Cable-ASWC.html Sony CDX-GT930UI http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT930UI/Sony-Xplod-CDX-GT930UI.html?tp=5684 I'm really not set 100% on what I want. If the price is right, I would love to have bluetooth, if it's a higher priced unit, it doesn't need to have bluetooth...it can also be a double din or a flip out touch screen, as this is going into a 2001 Impala LS replacing the stock head unit. In the end I need a high quality head unit that will last me for awhile, with preferably 3 sets of preouts, and it would need to have a USB and AUX input. Thanks! Looking to order something tomorrow or saturday! Quote First System 2002 Impala LS 3.8L V6, 128,365k miles. Alternator: DC Power 190Amp H/O Alternator Headunit: Kenwood KDC-BT945U. Ecco
The first one looks the best. Also, good prices means more money to other projects.

billy101
I thank everyone for the quick replies. So, the first one would probably be my best choice? I was originally looking at the Kenwood Excelon X994 which is the same thing as the X794 just with bluetooth and changeable LCD & button colors, for $100 more on crutchfield, on sonic electronix it was $259, but it's out of stock with no ETA on an arrival date. I should be satisfied with the X794? It's a good unit? Quote First System 2002 Impala LS 3.8L V6, 128,365k miles. Alternator: DC Power 190Amp H/O Alternator Headunit: Kenwood KDC-BT945U. gally
the HU unit between kenwoods are the same, the only difference is that the X794 doesnt have a bluetooth module but if you chose pioneer http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P4200UB/Pioneer-DEH-P4200UB.html?tp=5684&tab=features_and_specs you have bluetooth, * detachable face with 16-character OEL display * front USB input with built-in iPod control, plus front aux input * three sets of preamp outputs i mean you have evrything you wanted in the first post are you shure that kenwood is your best choice? i wouldnt Quote 2010 Chevrolet Cruze Radio --- pioneer mvh-200vbt Front/back --- alpine type s 6.5" Sub Control --- Pac LC1 Sub Amp --- GZPA 1.4K Sub --- GZNW 15XSPL D1 Battery - GZBP 12.2500X
