bumonskateboard6
Also everything is in the trunk so it's only 3ft of cable from the amp to the battery. I am using the factory radio with a hi/lo filter. Could that be the problem? Hi/Lo filters if they aren't powered take so much gain on the amp to get a strong voltage signal to the amp. Try one of these for a cleaner signal. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=1&series_id=49&family_id=51&item_id=111123&locale=en_US&p_status= Quote Current Systems: 2011 BMW 335i Hertz HDP1 DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber 2002 Acura TlKenwood DNX9980HD2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 CoilsDC 3.5kHertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 RearHertz HDP4 AmpDC Power Engineering 260 Amp AltBig 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0XS Power D2400 Up Front i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch... going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box... Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth. A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?
Ds5381
Yeah it's not powered. I'll try a new ground first then if that doesn't work I guess I'll go that route. Thanks
Superjay
your LOC should have gain control on it. adjust it down. Ds5381
Haha everything I sealed. I'll have to take half my car apart to get to it.
Superjay
well, guess you should have thought of that. with modern head units putting out 11-15 watts per channel those gains should be about a quarter of the way up...most come cranked to max from the factory. or worse...not matched Quote Principal JTech Consulting - Leader in 12-Volt Training and Product PlanningIt's not about how much power you have, but how well you use it
Ds5381
I didn't do the install. I kinda wish I did now. I had a local shop do it. They are very reputable so I hope it was set rite.
Ds5381
I believe it's off the factory sub.
Superjay
even pros forget about it. they usually forget about it, but since you had it done at a shop take it back there, explain the issue and ask them to take care of it. If they find that it's something they didn't do, then pay them for their time (probably $20 or so) for troubleshooting it, and go home and fix it, or pay them to fix it.
