think my amp might be fried (or close to it)

sub is a dual 2 amp is 2 channel i have it wired to 4 ohms bridged dont have an o scope to set gains but bass boost on amp and cd player is all the way down eq is flat and gain on 1/4 since i cant set properly i figured thatd be somewhat safe guess i may have been wrong lol

head unit - pioneer DEH-P5100UB

subwoofer - nothing

speakers - powerbass components

amp - nothing

Play some music at your listening level and get a DMM and test voltage at the speaker terminals.

Also test voltage at the input.

so i checked voltage on the power wire at the amp and got 14.1v i played some music and tested the terminals and got nothing every now and then it would show like .2v sounds like the amp is bad right?

check the resistance of the subs at the amp. see if it still says 4ohm. or take the sub out and measure each coil.

is the amp going into protect at any point or does it just cut output?

you did put the volt meter on ac volts when you tested the outputs right?

if you're checking the POWER wire and the POWER drops to 0, then you have a short in your power wire. get to tracing it.

haha sorry if i confused you the voltage of the power wire at the amp was sitting at 14.1v i was talking about checking the speaker outputs and they were at 0 and theres no sound so im guessing the amp is bad right?
