think my amp might be fried (or close to it)

like i said before. put the volt meter on ac volts when checking the speaker outputs.

how did you miss it? he already said he tested the output voltage and got nothing.

ok i just hooked up my alpine mono amp and it works fine so its not the rcas or power/ground so that leaves my other amp being the problem correct

yes, if a replacement amp works fine with all the same connections then the amp should definitely be the problem.

yes, if a replacement amp works fine with all the same connections then the amp should definitely be the problem.

ok thanks well any ideas for an amp to power my RE sx18 its dual 2 ohm if that helps was thinking of hifonics but havent read to much good about them trying to stay under 200 right now but can save up if i need to

head unit - pioneer DEH-P5100UB

subwoofer - nothing

amp - nothing

if he didnt switch the type of voltage. then he wouldnt/ shouldnt get a reading.. if he got a reading on dc.. then his woofers wouldnt be very happy.
