Hugh G. Rection
when you start reloading make me some nice .45 acp ammo, something hot in a JHP...thnx and this is the problem i have with 95% of people who reload..... everyone wants to load hot. loading hot ammo is very dangerous. blown casings, broken parts in the gun, sights can go flying off the gun from the slide slamming back against the slide stop (this can cause serious facial injury), extreme loss of accuracy, blown apart barrels, broken slide and frames, gun is harder to manage which creates bad shooting habits, and the list goes on....... i load light. i changed all the springs in my gun to very low weight springs, and use a lighter weight bullet so that the lighter powder charge can still produce velocity. my 45 has the recoil of a 9mm. my favorite 45 load= 200gr non plated lswc 4.0 grains of winchester supertarget powder winchester large primer this load is great in 1911's with a 12lb recoil spring.
