sorry guys, i skipped page 2. did anyone address the 14awg power wire? and the fact that it isnt connected to the battery, instead its connected to some constant power from the car. at least that's what it sounded like. so the power wire could have actually melted apart like a fuse somewhere. it needs to be traced to see if there is any damage.

and OP, NEVER touch a + wire to metal to "test" it. that can weld the wire to the metal in an instant and cause a fire anywhere along the wire.

Im gonna try replacing all fuses in amp and wire and see if that works
