first box here

I am trying to do my first ported box design bymyself here so tell me if this sounds right to you guys. the box is 41'w 15.5'tall 15.5'deep- outside.subs up. my port is at the bottom of the box and it is 3'tall 12'wide 10.5'deep-tune to 31/32hz i think. do i have enuf port in this box. I am runing 2-boston-g5-12'subs in this box.any help on this would be nice good are bad just tell me what you think...thanks

going by what you gave me, its about 9 sq inches / port, you need almost 2 times that. Also looking at more like 39 tuning wise.

yeah i don't know where you got your numbers from, but all that winds up to

3.94 cubes net, 9.14 square inches of port per cube, 39.92 hz tuning.

Look right here on smd and get torres calculator and try again.

Shoot for 3 cubes net, and 12 to 16 square inches of port per cube.

I have tryed it and cant get it to work for me-idn-// so you are saying i need more port/ i wont to stay around 4cf with the box. boston g5-12' need 2cf ea and tune to-30/33hz is what boston website said to use.

whats your max dimensions and what kinda vehicle is this going in (car, van, hatch, trunk, etc)

So this is with the port on the bottom of the box from side to side are what. i need the port going along the bottom floor of the box. thanks

notice the height of the port shares 1 wall with the box? put it anywhere you want, it won't change the numbers. it is 26" long in an 18 inch deep box though so you'll have to go along the bottom and up the back 7.75".
