just1moreamp Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) I am trying to do my first ported box design bymyself here so tell me if this sounds right to you guys. the box is 41'w 15.5'tall 15.5'deep- outside.subs up. my port is at the bottom of the box and it is 3'tall 12'wide 10.5'deep-tune to 31/32hz i think. do i have enuf port in this box. Alex K Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 going by what you gave me, its about 9 sq inches / port, you need almost 2 times that. Also looking at more like 39 tuning wise. I have tryed it and cant get it to work for me-idn-// so you are saying i need more port/ i wont to stay around 4cf with the box. boston g5-12' need 2cf ea and tune to-30/33hz is what boston website said to use.
