Yeah I don't think 4 gauge can handle 300 amps. I'm running a 150 amp fuse on my 4 gauge.

4 gauge: ~140 amperes

Class D (~70% efficiency) - <1400 watts

Class A/B (~50% efficiency) - <1000 watts

From the wire and fuse guide here.

The amp maybe blown but first check and see if it has power from the remote and main line with a DMM.

Does your main power line have a fuse? Also did your boss crank the gain up without you looking?

Yeah I have a 300 ANL inline an no he's not allowed to touch my amps anymore.

What size wire again? Double check input voltage with a DMM on the power and remote.

I'm running 4ga power/ground to it.

Wow! You're running a SAZ-1500D which has 160a of fusing on it, on 4ga wire which has a current capacity of about 130a and have that wire fused with a 300a fuse?:trippy: What shop did you say you worked at again?

Yeah bad idea, amps shouldn't share fuses.

I probly should split em up but I had 0ga run to a fuse block then two 4ga run back to tha amps, I've done this before but it was on small amps. I'll seperate em. Do you think I need to run larger ga to the SA than the 4ga I got on it now?

I ran 0ga power/ground to it with a 200 ANL and new remote turn on and it's stil shuttin off. Sometimes it'll stay on for awhile and other times it shuts off quick. Not going into protection and not getting hot, WTF?!?!?!

So what is it spost to read? I've put a volt meter on it and it's getting between 11.2 an 12.4 to it with the truck idleing.

Found your problem... That's with the truck on correct?
