ive got 2 hd's 1 that came with comp i think is 320gb and my 1tb external, witch one is this talking about?

i would check the S.M.A.R.T data on the hard drive that the failure message is talking about.

And malwarebytes is a free download and you don't have to pay for it if you don't want too, it doesn't stop the service as a on-demand scanner.

That's all it is, is a on-demand scanner when you don't buy it and is one of the best on-demands out there.

And to the hard drive failure, that doesn't sound like something windows would do but I'm not for sure.

ya, it looks weird to me too, i mean everything works normal and hd's work fine but that has been comeing up for like 5months or so and have been ignoring it till now

how do i search for it?

c:/ has 151gb out of 287gb left

d:/(factory image, dunno what the hell that means) 1.45gb out of 10.6 left

f:/ has 827gb out of 931 left

so hds seem to work fine and function normally so i dunno whats wrong with it

Agreed with the others, Malwarebytes is a great free program....for spyware I use spyware terminator and for constant AV I use ESET NOD32 (with a trusty list of usernames/pw's)
