Neo_frog
Oh crap..no no. I'm really sorry for coming off that way. That will work, but minimizing distance throughout the circuit is the key to efficiency. In your first drawing, just move the positive lead to the opposite side on each sub. ONE lead should come off each coil to the amp. Sorry again bro. =/ Edited January 16, 2011 by Neo_frog Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? TLEJ
Sorry I missed your prev. post, then edited it in. EDIT: And I have no clue what strapping/daisy chaining/etc. is.. Combing them to make one big amp? I don't think so unless that's more efficient or something. I was setting the gains separately with a DMM. I already set them though from my previous setup. Alex K
no 2 amps are exactally the same. With 2 theoretically 2 different amps on 2 subs in the same enclousure youll have problems. Just saying. You really just need 1 big amp. I doubt those amps are even strapable. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. TLEJ
SO like this then? And I have no clue. Take a look for yourself: http://www.woofersetc.com/p6789/Q-6001-Image-Dynamics-1Channel-600-Watt-Amplifier.htm EDIT: And I mean, I had these 2 amps pushing 2 15's in the same box. Never gave a problem that I noticed. Edited January 16, 2011 by TLEJ
Neo_frog
Yes, the wiring is correct there. Sorry for the confusion. And as far as strapping, yes it's beneficial to the meter or RTA, but not really to the ear. As long as you tune both with an o-scope, then turn the higher one down to gain match with a DMM, you'll be fine. If all you're using is a DMM, then use manufacturer recommendations. You won't be getting full potential, but it will be clean. Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? This guy just needs to know how to get his subs to 1 ohm, help him out and leave it at that. I really dont think that he is too concerned about how his system plays to the meter or RTA. ++ to + -- to - Simple question needs a simple answer. Neo_frog
The response about meter and RTA was to AlexK. I also gave a basic explanation of gain matching. Again, the phone is hard to manipulate lol. Responding is harder than fast reply. It was in regards to strapping amps. Edited January 16, 2011 by Neo_frog Quote Need an install? Neo_frog
He just needs to follow his last drawing. More efficient, less wires. Sorry for the confusion again! Quote Need an install? Yup, agree, either drawing will work just fine though. Quote Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page!
