IASCA SQ question

Recommended Posts

I was wondering with all the head units that have come out can you run IASCA SQI or SQC without having a cd player in your install. My old cd player is having problems. I would rather buy a new unit without a cd player in it to avoid this from happening all together in the future. thanks for any help

how would you run the iasca test disk then? you will need a cd player

edit: and you really do not want to compress that to a mp3 you will get stomped by the guys running it on disk

havn't been to one in a long time, but when I did the judges were using the same disk for everybody. cd players usually don't go out especially if you get a nice head unit. the non cd headunits that I know of I wouldn't be running in an sq car anyway

You could buy the alpine iDA-X303 and install the DHA-S690 in your trunk or something

This is my Alpine of choice, CDA-117. I'm in love with mine and the 4 volt pre outs don't clip.

http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/cda-117/

I got mine off of Amazon brand new for around $250.

FYI I have been running Alpine for around 13 years and I have found that the CDA-117 is very user friendly unlike all their other high end CD players from the past that were a true pain in the ass to navigate and set up.

Again I love mine a lot :)

EDIT: I just found this review,
