3rd Gen Nano vs 5th Gen Nano EQ Differences

Recommended Posts

I didn't know where else to put it and figured I'd get the most luck here lol

I've had my 3rd Gen since xmas of 07 and in my car I have the EQ set on it as Treble Booster since it seemed to give me better quality and what not, no issues with less bass or anything.....well I bought a 5th gen for $70 from a friend of mine and restored it to factory settings and put it on Treble Booster but the volume is really low and like no bass then I switch EQ to Off and boom it gets louder and bass starts hitting like its supposed to but it doesn't sound as good to me as my 3rd gen did with treble booster (I got good ears and can hear subtle differences)

I'm guessing Apple changed something with the way the EQ works?

Thanks bro, IDK why the shit drops super low but does sound cleaner lol...Its connected with the Aux of course since scrolling thru hella songs on my single din kenwood is not the bizness, I've tried before, takes hella long lol

Hmm, I'ma go out and put it on flat to see how it sounds....only speakers I got are my stock dash tweeters, center dash 3.5 and my rear door 6x9s but Fade is set more towards the front so the Treble Booster helped with the sound. Need to get my RF comps installed sometime soon

LOL I won't hear anything then, I'll probably drop the max just a bit...I've ran it like this for months, my HU is usually at 26-28/35

Yeah I just dropped it to one click mark from the max, may move it up not sure but tested between Flat & Off and there is a very subtle difference that makes Flat actually sound better, thanks Wenn! haha

My deck is set as:

Sub Level +5

Bass 0

Mid +3

High +5 (IIRC)
