i got a few for you today.

gained .7 by gorilla taping off the sunroof. gained .3 by covering the rear speaker deck with cardboard to make it smooth and gorilla taping the whole thing and the edges.

1) I don´t have a sunroof , that one should be good.

2) I don´t have a trunk car, but i´ve learned it depends entirely on the car and where you face the port and subs

3) Gorilla taping the edges of the box o exactly what? please explain a little nit more so i can test it out

well mines flat so it was easy but i made a cardboard cutout and laid it over this thing and then gorilla taped over it and the edges. I would use fiberglass for this but i cant since i wouldnt be able to remove it.

besides the sunroof, I guess it would only be testable with a trunk car.

What about covering the floor and the cubby hole compartments behind the wheel well? I mean, from the back door up to the edge of the seats when they're folded down. Might help direct airflow forward a little more, rather than going under/between the seats. Obviously a full MDF floor would be better in my idea (at least in my head) but I think cardboard would show whether it would work of if I'm retarded

I got myself a slot ported box from a friend, he wants to add some debeeezzz , so he left me the box to do a couple of little things, nothing major, but i will try them in my explorer and then, install the box back in his car!! Info:

Sub : DD 3515 D2

Amp: Soundstream XXX 4K @ 1 ohm with gain VERY low.

Box: 4 c/f and 68 SQ of port tuned to 42 hz

I´ll post some pics of the box in a couple of hours, things i´m gonna do to it:

1) Flaring the port with 3/4" PVC cutted in half

2) Routing the port externally to test it against the PVC.

3) Taking out the carpet of the box.

4) Rounding the port internally with some PVC.

5) Installing 45´s on the 2 pressure points of the box

6) Flush mounting the sub and rouding over that second baffle.

7) Rounding over the edges of the box.

8.) Installing some printing vinyl inside the box.

9) Testing bolts connection agains direct leads connection.

That´s it for the moment, that box scored a 144.2 @ 46 hz in a trunk car with a single battery and a DD m2 wired at 1 ohm, i have this weekend free and since i don´t have any money on my bank account, i´ll be at home doing this instead of just watching TV, so , expect some updates in the next 3 or 4 days

This is a very old box i made a year ago, never worked on it anymore but he wanted to raise a couple of tenths, i´ve only done 2 things to it and it´s way louder now , i´ll give you the exact dimensions of it and everything if you want, but it´s the same box i recommended you a few months ago and you said it sucked ass

I don't remember saying your box sucked ass, believe it was my brother (Louisiana Bass). I preferred your box over the others we had tested, but I never got the chance to meter it. Regardless, pm me with dimensions and all if you don't mind mate.

It´s ok, i don´t care about trolls or noobs opinions, i´ve proven i know a few things about boxes, i´m not the best but not the worst either, maybe it was built MAJORLY wrong , i don´t give a fuck, you go ahead and tell your brother to visit this topic so both of you guys learn how to build a box for a DD before talking trash about me, gotta love trolls!!

Dude, where did that come from? I said I preferred your box, so I don't see why you are offended. I don't see any trash talking man, I (along with everyone else here) knows that you are a great builder and have proven yourself. This thread alone shows that.
