Rounding the port makes it also longer, so maybe your tuning is a bit to high, so you gain with this "longer" (lower tuning) port also.

Don´t forget this rounding inside the box on the port

that´s why i tried to round the port with a very small pvc stripe, so i wouldnt change the tuning that much, but hell, looking at your signature then you are definitely a guy with way more knowledge than myself, if you say it was lower then it was lol

I always make it with a round piece of wood and cut it in the middle, nearly the same size as the pool thing (see in the pic)

not bad, i dont there are so many gains on a 4th order bandpass wall but we´ll see, will definitely test it a lot since right now it sucks ass!!!

thanks man , sorry it took me so long to get back at you, i was at mexico for vacations with my girl, yeah i´ll test and post as much as i can, im doing 8 15s on a 4th bp wall right now, with 1700 clampeds watts it did 148.4 at 29 hz, i hate it right now but should get way louder with some work and power

for sure, any trunk car i test gains A LOT when i fold down the back seats, specially the honda civic coupe or the chevrolet cavalier coupe, should gain a lot to the ears and meter on your pontiac too.

This thread is awesome! Just ran across the thread and I am not a big poster but I must say this one deserves it! I am currently at 147.9 can't wait to try all of this and see how each one changes me would love to see me at 150 it is a daily built for music I am flat from low 30's to high 40's with a tiny peak at 44. Just so you know I did a bunch of different configurations inside my vehicle and went from 147.9 to 148.9 with my c pillar wall! Then I changed the port and took my amp to .25 ohms got it up to 151.5. In the middle of a rebuild going to go for 4 18's now in a c pillar wall!

I rounded over my entire box including the sub hole, but I didn't gain. Have you tried putting resin on the inside of your boxes? I've heard that's a decent gain.

Also, with the ac on im pissing air out of my door handles, side mirrors, gas tank lid and passenger side window. if I figured out how do seal all that do you think I would gain?

Yes i´ve used resin tons of times before, sometimes it gains a few tenths and other times i lost tons of tenths, depends on the application i guess, honestly speaking i got bored of using it lol

If i were you, i would start with duct tape or gorilla tape and just seal those things and test on the termlab
