How much is sound deadening going to quiet down me hearing my exhaust? I love hearing my exhaust while driving my Mustang, it's one of the reasons I have it. I don't want my trunk ratltling though. Anyone have experience with this?

Regular sound deadening will not stop sounds from entering the vehicle. It is to stop panel resonance. You have to use closed cell foam to quiet road noise.

I feel like my exhaust cancels out the bass to a certain extent. Hmmm, I wonder if installing quiet mufflers would increase meter scores.

So i just rewired my 4 ohm Kicker Compvr's to 1 ohm and changed the wiring to SHCA 12 gauge OFC and now there is a constant beep that sounds like its coming from my amp. The beep was never there before. Any ideas guys?

SHCA wire is definitely worth the cash. Looks extremely nice.

Gonna try out some polyfil in my box. I know my box is on the lower end of the Manufacturers recommendations. The box is ported. Will using some strong spray adhesive inside the port to secure the polyfil to the box work? Or should I secure it inside the box?

Probably a dumb question but here it goes. When speaker wire is split into two sides do you use one side of the wire for negative and the other for positive? Or run both through the positive and a separate run for the negative?

Help me real quick please. On a monoblock amp with 2 subwoofers hooked up is that 2 channels or 1? Sorry if this is a dumb question its just making my head hurt haha

So I got 2 kicker Compvr 12's wired at 1 ohm using a Pioneer Gm-8d601 amp, was thinking about getting a T-1400.1D Skar amp. These subs are rated at 400 RMS each. Anyways was wondering if anyone has any input on this, thanks.

The Pioneer Gm-8D601 is good at 1 ohm and is 800 RMS for what you have. But if you do go for the Skar T-1400.1D at 2 ohm its 700 RMS and 1400 RMS at 1 ohm if you want to go 3 or 4 subs.

Gonna try and build my first box next weekend, if anyone wants to help with a design HMU. Probably going with a sealed box since I never had one and space is limited. Box will be for 2 Kicker CompVr's. How much MDF should I get?

At that price you can get a BHE box with almost every option you want including premium paint on the double kerf'd port.

A shop that helped me before for free so I figured id stop by again. It's called Sound Decisions in Wilmington NC. Don't have any tools.
