Berto
Hey guys I need help with my box volume so I can figure out how long my port needs to be. If it was a regular square shaped box I would be able to figure it out myself, but it's not. Here's my box with max dimensions, would like to use all the space I have. Any help? Berto
Yeah that's gonna be outer dimensions. Forgot to point out those details. If possible can you give me the volume of the box if I use 3/4" and then if I use 1 1/2" (2 layers of 3/4"). Lumpydonut
for 3/4" MDF I got 18.46 cubes. then for 1.5" MDF I got 15.97 cubes. But its late so my math could be off a bit Quote 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Pioneer DEH5100-UB 2 - P1S412 4 - Alpine SRS-600 Alpine MRP-M500 Monster 8g power/ground-1/0 Big 3 Soon to come: 2 - T1D212 RF T1500.1bdCP RF T500.4bd Mechman 220 amp alt Kinetik KHC1800 Hit me up if you need help with anything in the Tulsa Area. Torres
i came up with 18.78 cubes with .75" wood. with 1.5" wood, i got 16.19 cubes. so yeah, very close
Berto
Thanks guys. Those numbers are good news to me, with the 3/4 wood I get almost exactly the box volume I need. How do you figure out the volume with the angles in the box? I know I learned how at one point in school but I haven't had a math class in a couple years so I forgot. Lumpydonut
I just take how big the square that the angle makes is, in your case (not counting wood) is 6.5x16.5x46.5, figure that volume, divide by 2, then figure the volume of the entire box, as if it didnt have an angle, 35x46.5x24.5, and subtract. And to figure the wood you just subtract the size of the wood times 2 from all measurements.
