ground the amp to the batter ALWAYS

ok and where do i ground the front battery too? the alt? or the engine chassis. or is that for the big 3 where i ground the - to the engine chassis

big 3

alt pos to bat pos

bat neg to chassis

bat beg to engine

the second battery

bat pos to bat pos (from front to back)

bat neg to bat neg (from front to back)

amp

bat pos to amp pos

bat neg to amp neg

you also want to ground the rear battery to the frame for the best results

Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged

Yeah 300 anl is good also left out the fuse from the alt to the front the battery you need that too. There is actually another way to wire it as well. But you get the idea.

the case of your alt is the ground for it there is no reason you should attach a neg run to it unless you want to run more wire (it wont hurt anything unless you accidentally put it on the pos post)

And don't get confused when you look at the picture, where I wrote Frame, that is basically the alt case, it grounds itself to the block. And run a ground from that alt case to the battery neg. <<<<Best

Thinking about it now I should have wrote block there instead of frame, oh well...LOL

I was thinking of drawing up a diagram of how my quad alt setup is done, but it gets a little messy on paper, I may draw something up tonight.

ground the amp to the batter ALWAYS

do you mean directly or eventually? as long as the battery ground is connected to the chassis he could ground to the chassis if he wanted to. It wouldnt make sense but ALWAYS is kind of a bold statement.

There are plenty that are well enough running ground through chassis.
